Hughes Invited to Join Central Vermont Chapter of the American Inns of Court

Kurt Hughes has been invited to join the Central Vermont Chapter of the American Inns of Court. The organization was formed in 1999 by a group of Vermont lawyers and judges who were interested in furthering the American Inns of Court's mission to cultivate high ethical standards among members of the legal profession which includes the mentoring of young lawyers by more experienced lawyers.  The Inn meets once a month from September through May (there are no meetings in December and January) at some of the nicer restaurants and inns in Central Vermont and the Burlington area.

Membership is limited to forty (40) members, and each member must participate as part of a pupilage team.  Pupilage teams are created on an annual basis and are designed to include participants from different categories of membership.  Membership categories are Masters (10+ years of practice), Barristers (4-9 years of practice), Associates (1-3 years of practice) and Pupils (law students, law clerks and candidates reading for the bar).
