Landmark Decision Issued Regarding Gestational Surrogacy Arrangement

The Maine Supreme Court has issued a landmark decision in a gestational surrogacy arrangement. In the case of Nolan v. LaBree, the Court determined that existing law empowered the district court to determine parentage in the context of a gestational surrogacy. The Nolans were the genetic and intended parents of a child carried by Mrs. LaBree.
